Three Ghosts of Government
Imagine a ghost from each of the three branches of government comes to visit you the day before your test to help you understand what their role is in government. The ghosts of Judicial, Legislative, and Executive are there to teach you everything you need to know about the government. Tell the story of your adventure and the things the ghosts informed you of. In your story, include:
Definition of each branch of government
At least 2 examples of responsibilities of each ghost (branch)
**Be sure to:
Provide a clear beginning
Use information and facts discussed in class about each branch
End your story, with a statement of what you learned from the three ghosts
Use proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
My Reflection:
I really enjoyed using the voice thread once I figured out how to use it. I did not watch the tutorial video first, and just tried to figure it out on my own, which was harder than I had originally anticipated. I would love to use this in my classroom one day, because it really promotes creativity. Watching the tutorial video would be something I would plan in my lesson to watch as a class, that way when they get to use it they will be more focused on the content, rather than trying to figure out how to work the website. I would like to use then in groups, so everyone has a different role and can really use the website to make fun stories.
I feel as if I were to use more voices in mine, it would have made my voice thread more entertaining, but at the time I only had my voice available to use so I recorded it of myself. This would be a fun activity for the students, and I feel like it would really engage them because they would be allowed to use their creative minds to make their own stories and listen to their own voices.
